I help product and design teams move faster and smarter.
I focus on strategic, conceptual user experience design. I help companies design “wow”-inducing products, while reducing risk through process-driven methods that lead to informed, rational product decisions.
My specialities include product redesign, concept exploration, UX auditing, workshop moderation, design research, and concept evaluation.
I’ve worked in a range of industries, but I often work on health/wellness, logistics, consumer electronics, video services, and finance.
A little more detail.
For the past 15 years, I’ve worked on strategic UX projects with some of the world's largest and most interesting companies.
I’ve been consulting independently for the past 9 years. I’m based in the Bay Area, but I work with clients everywhere.
Before I went independent, I was a Principal Designer at frog's San Francisco headquarters. I started my career at Verizon Labs, where I focused on designing, prototyping, and evaluating new video products and services.
I earned a Masters in Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004.
In addition to work with more established companies, I’ve loved being a hands-on advisor to early stage, high-growth companies like DuckDuckGo and CloudApp.
